How far is the Aille River hostel from the bus stop?
If you tell the bus driver (from Ennis or from Galway) that you are staying at the Aille River hostel, he will drop you at the cross-roads across the river from us outside a bar called Fitzpatrick’s- from there you can see the hostel across the bridge.

Where is the nearest bank or cash point?
There is an ATM at the Cliffs of Moher visitor’s centre 11km, there are also two banks in Ennistymon 13km from the hostel.

How do I get to the Cliffs of Moher?
There are a few options, the best of which is a lovely hike along the start of the cliffs in Doolin to the visitor’s centre. Staff can give you details about this walk.

Where can I hire a bike?
There a few places in Doolin to rent bikes, ask staff for more details.

How far to the music and the pubs?
There is music in all of the pubs each evening – the furthest of which is 10 minutes away from the hostel.

How far away is the Burren?
Doolin is in the south-west corner of the Burren which can easily be reached by foot (10 mins) or bicycle if you wish to go further afield.

Where can I buy food to cook in the hostel?
There is a local shop in the lower village.

Is breakfast Included?
No, but you can prepare your own in the fully stocked kitchen!
Or for €1.50 you can buy our breakfast, which consists of Irish soda bread, an egg, creame cheese, jam and tea or coffee
