Happy New Year to you all from us here at the Aille River.

We are currently closed for renovations and will reopen on the 24th Feb, busy painting cleaning and making sure that all is ship shape for the new season and really looking forward to seeing you all again , so until then . . . Tog Go Bog E (take it easy)

we have been honoured to recieve two awards for the best village hostel and the best overall hostel in ireland for the 201o season.

Once Again we have received an award for the 2nd best hostel in Ireland for the 2009 season as voted by hostelworld customers.

This was an award where hosteworld booking customers reviewed and rated the hostel during there stay.

Easter 2010

There is so much going on this Spring in Irelands Shannon Region, you wont be disappointed!
Just a few ideas for Easter……. . Explore the Mystery treasure trail with eggs for all at the Ailwee Caves, Co. Clare on Easter Sunday and Monday. Meet Easter Bunny and enjoy puppet shows, and lots more at Cragguanowen, Co. Clare on Sunday 4th. Visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park where you can meet Mickey, Minnie and a host of other cartoon characters, enjoy a mad hatters tea party, jugglers, stilt walkers and much more on Monday 5th April.

There might be a few suprises for guests at the hostel on Easter sunday too.

Saint Patricks day

We will be having our very own St Pats parade right here in Doolin on the 17th march. Starting at doolin pier at 2pm heading all the way through the village and concluding at the community centre.

After ther parade lots of live trad sessions in all the pubs so don’t forget those dancing shoes.

hi to all those who visit this site. Here’s a little info on up and coming gigs in Doolin.

Clare favourite’s Bushplant, will be bringing there ecclectic style of music, to mcganns pub on may 1st, and offers to be a very vibrant evening ,so come down and shake, Doolin style.

Also in Mcganns 6th may We have visitors from Switzerland called Baum strumming there tunes to the beat of the drum. A Three piece that has toured with Van Morrison and the John Butler trio. I think this one is not to be missed.
